Trading on ETH sucks.... Never traded there... I think Multi-Chain makes it more complicated.... so I'm a big fan of Y00ts on Sol, DeGods on Eth or something like this

Multi-chain is the best. We get shit for bridging so we might as well be multi-chain collection. Anything you can do with this ERC-404?

Multi-chain allows arbitrage between SOL-ETH or whatever movements so you can get increased volume on wherever the advantage is. More churn, more reason to trade, more volume, more royalties for the team.

Cannot please everyone with just 1 chain. Some people just have a preference for something but also you don't want to p*ss off whales who have been ETH centric e.g. Floor Protocol is very ETH centric but degens/retail/OG Degods are SOL centric. Allowing some ppl to choose their preferred chains and then you have traders like myself bringing these NFTs back and forth the chains like i do between Floor protocol and Blur to keep the circulation or any imbalance going. Royalties will have to stay 0.5% on all chains otherwise it is going to get costly if these get raised.

Team resources. We spent too much time FAFO. We are long term vesters of this project don't want you to spend the limited resources which are already thin spread on just one thing. Hence Multi-chain like you said is the easiest to build, then it should also be the most optimal solution. We just don't have a few months for a new co-ordinated bridge when we got so many other things to do and keep getting FUD on this bridging. The bridging should be a gimmick, make your lives better etc, a play on our past fuck ups but not a resource constraining "utility". There's other shit to be done.

Been thinking on this for a long time and, despite the fact that I like the Unification and being together y00ts with degods, I think the ecosystem is changing and more and more people are realizing Solana is a better chain for trading.

ETH is getting better and cheaper too, but : Why not having 1 collection on each chain?

Delabs would be exposed to both chains, that's perfect IMO.

I like Multi-Chain. If the process is good, and demand and liquidity are good.. then who needs usdc :)

There are many higher priorities than this imo. I can't help the feeling that doing yet another bridge right now would make us look like a clown show.

But good call to resolve this once and for all. I see that this is a highly emotional topic for some people. To non-holder maxis who already thought we were the worst people while we were still on Sol, we "left when Solana needed us the most". I personally don't understand what holders get from "coming home to Solana". I mean how does the backing chain of your pfp influence what chain you use otherwise.

I was in the "Let's move DeGods to ETH" camp, appalled at what the tokenomics of Solana have done to our assets on one hand and realizing the limits of the ecosystem even before FTX. Not to go into all those details again, I still believe that Solana is not the right environment for projects that aim to be no. 1 or 2 in the world.

I liked when y00ts were not on the same chain because it gave optionality to the project to trail its own path. I remember when there was a note on the Duppies website that you're aware that you can't run two projects well and that y00ts will get a CEO soon...

So the multi-chain option seems like the better choice from all key aspects:

1/ Emotional: maxis who want to move their jpeg to their preferred chain will be able to. Personally I'd love an option to move my NFTs to BTC.

2/ Financial: chains will have a reason to bribe us to move our NFTs to their land, degens will love arbitrage opportunities across chains.

3/ It's meta-defining news-worthy, can be framed as a win. Coming back to where you started is a loser narrative.

Multi-chain leaves the most options for holders and the team. Easier to implement and more future proof. Most prob wouldn't mind sol either but better to focus on growth initiatives and community unification. More important wherever community goes there's a presence - i.e. not feeling lost in the middle and not willing to commit to community of respective chain. If multi-chain create rivalries or gamify the separation. Incentives for greater presence on a chain. Etc. Narrative around whatever we are.

Focus on other things first please. I'd rather see fixes for the community than chain shit.

IMO multi-chain is not a compromise. It's the future.
